Are you a qualified accountant with corporate tax experience gained either within practice or in industry? Do you wish to continue your tax career as a Group Tax Accountant working for a business that operates on a global scale?

The role would suit someone with corporate tax experience together with exposure of working with international tax advisers. If you are coming straight from practice as a tax specialist and are looking for that next step into industry, or if you already sit within the commercial market in a tax capacity, this could be your ideal next position that will offer further developmental opportunities for the successful candidate.
Your role as Group Tax Accountant will be to manage the Group’s international tax requirements and to provide expert advice on international tax compliance.
The position will encompass:
- Corporate tax: preparing annual corporate tax returns, preparing annual R&D claims, advising on tax planning opportunities
- Overseas corporate tax: providing relevant information to tax advisors, reviewing overseas tax filings, liaising with overseas tax advisors and preparing overseas R&D claims, where appliable
- VAT, Sales, Tax and Duty: reviewing and filing monthly UK VAT returns, preparing overseas VAT claims and registrations, preparing information for international sales tax reviews, reviewing and assessing commodity codes and respective duty rates on an international basis, preparing claims for import/export schemes
- International tax
- Payroll – providing advice on legislative changes
- International tax: preparing the group’s annual transfer pricing report, advising n tax implications of global expansion
The Person:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIOT)
- Experience in corporate tax compliance, gained in either practice or industry
- Experience of direct and indirect tax implications
- Ability to work with international tax advisers
- Strong skills in MS Excel
- Team player
